The Bang Awards – International Animation Festival invites filmmakers from around the world to submit their films for the 2026 edition.
Films can be submitted in two categories, depending on how they will be presented during the festival.
Official Competition – Cinema Screening
Films submitted to this category will be considered for the Official Selection of the Bang Awards and may be screened during the festival’s cinema sessions in Torres Vedras, Portugal. Films in this category will not be made available online. This option is recommended for films currently circulating in the international festival circuit or subject to premiere requirements.
Bang Emerging Creators – Online Competition
A category dedicated to discovering new creators, students and emerging talent. Films submitted to this category will be presented on the Bang Awards online platform during the festival, allowing audiences to discover new voices in animation.
Important Note
If your film is currently circulating in the festival circuit or subject to premiere requirements, we recommend submitting it to the Official Competition – Cinema Screening. Only the Bang Emerging Creators category includes public online screening.
Eligibility
Films completed after January 2023 are eligible.
All animation techniques are accepted.
